Equestrian Summer Camp 2010
LEVEL 1&2, Week of July 12, July 26, Aug 2 and Aug 23.
Fee $260.00 per week.
This week is designed for campers with no riding experience and those that are comfortable at the walk and trot. In addition to riding, the camper will learn basic horsemanship. Enrolment is limited to 6 campers per week. Get settled in, One hour ride in the morning, Barn Chores, One hour ride in the afternoon, Games and Stable Management. On Friday, the final day of camp, a mini show will be held for the campers. Parents are welcome to attend!
LEVEL 3&4, Week of July 19 & Aug 26.
Fee $260.00 per week. This week is designed for those already in a riding program and are comfortable at the Walk, Trot, Canter and ready to jump or already jumping. This week ends with a fun riding test. Enrolment is limited to 8 riders per week. Campers may bring their own horse/pony for an additional fee. Barn Chores, One hour morning ride, Stable Management, Games and Crafts, One hour afternoon ride.
ADVANCED CAMP, Week of August 9th.
Fee $260.00 Plus any offsite adventures. This week is designed for the experienced rider, who is looking for an intense week of riding and horsemanship. Learn how to design and build a jumper course, improve your flatwork and have a week of fun with horses! Riders that are not students of Maple Lane may need an assessment lesson prior to acceptance into this week of camp. Campers can bring their own horse/ponies for an additional fee.
GENERAL INFO FOR ALL CAMPERS: All campers will be required to bring their own lunches, snacks and lots of water! Long pants and boots with a heel are required for riding. Campers can bring a change of clothes for when they are not riding, but please remember this is a stable! Sunscreen and hats are strongly recommended. We do have riding helmets available for the campers to use if they do not have their own. Please note, for safety reasons campers may not ride in running shoes. Camp hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. We look forward to you spending a week with our horses and ponies in a fun and safe environment.
