Equestrian Summer Camp 2011
LEVEL 1&2 - Week of July 11 and August 1. Fee $275.00 per week plus HST.
This week is designed for campers with no riding experience and those that are comfortable at the walk and trot. In addition to riding, the camper will learn basic horsemanship. Enrolment is limited to 8 campers per week. The day consists of the campers getting settled in, one hour ride in the morning, barn chores, one hour ride in the afternoon. In addition campers will participate in games, crafts and stable management lessons. On Friday, the final day of camp, a mini show will be held for campers. Parents are welcomed to attend!
LEVEL 3 & 4 - Week of July 18 and August 25.
Fee $275.00 per week plus HST. This week is designed for those already in a riding program and are comfortable at the walk, trot, canter and ready to jump or already jumping. This week ends with a fun riding test. Enrolment is limited to 8 riders per week. Campers may bring their own horse/pony for an additional fee. The day consists of barn chores, one hour ride in the morning, stable management, games and one hour ride in the afternoon. Riders can bring their own horses and ponies for an additional fee.
GENERAL INFO FOR ALL CAMPERS: All campers will be required to bring their own lunches, snacks and lots of water! Long pants and boots with a heel are required for riding. Campers can bring a change of clothes for when they are not riding, but please remember this is a stable! Sunscreen and hats are strongly recommended. We do have riding helmets available for the campers to use if they do not have their own. Please note, for safety reasons campers may not ride in running shoes. Camp hours are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. We look forward to you spending a week with our horses and ponies in a fun and safe environment.
